I stepped off the plane for my Hawaiian getaway and it was everywhere. In the sky, in the trees, on the people – and in a way that we just don’t experience when we’re in the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It was COLOR and it was everywhere. Was Hawaii that different from Washington DC? Well, yes, absolutely…that was an easy one. The color was amazing, but it was also the way I looked at it. I was on vacation, finally off the phone, and the warmth of the island just overwhelmed me. It’s a lot easier to see something fresh & new when the stresses washes away.
Isn’t that how it is with wedding planning? No matter who you are and no matter how much you plan, the stress starts to build after a while. And you get to the Big Day and you forget to look for the color. You poured your soul into flower arrangements and hand-painted invitations, but it’s happening, and you forget to look. I could ask you to promise yourself to be in the moment, but when 100+ people are grasping for your attention, it’s almost unrealistic. So, let's make a deal: I’ll capture the color and you’ll have every minute and every moment. And when you sit down, look at the final images, with a steaming cup of coffee, it will be incredible.
